Saint Augustine - Castillo de San Marcos
It was a cool, gray day in Saint Augustine, so we walked around the old fort with friends from Liberdade. I wanted all the photos to be black and white -- it was such a gray day -- but the bronze was too beautiful to be converted to shades of gray.

Plaza de la Contitucion across from the Basilica in Old Town. Look for a mini Washington Monument. Sebastian Kindelan's name is much longer on the marker. Post a photo if you can find him!!!! ! Hugs from Lodi, CA. Tina Kindelan Valdes!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is the park where we were........will go back today if possible. We saw two "mini Washington monuments" and did not see his name.

I beleive the obelisk farther away from the water is it. One side has the very old plaque. Where u can hardly read the writing. The other side is more recent and can read his name. Sebastian Kindelan......lots of names along with it.....;) last governor of St Augustine. Good luck!!!
